A refreshing hike to Lohagarh fort
Sacred Heart High School, Vashi
Had recently
organized a hike to Lohagarh Fort, Lonavala.
25th
July 2015
had been a great and one of
the memorable days for Standard X students.
This day was successful in bringing the students closer to nature and
especially the mighty mountains.  The
hike was complimented by the downpour of the heavenly rains.

The students of standard X were very
excited and curious about the hike as they were earlier informed about it.  But later, their enthusiasms was doubled
because all the students had a great time throughout the journey.

The buses had departed from the school at
about 9 a.m. in the morning and after few hours, the students alongwith their
respective class teachers and some escorts reached the spot.

Nature, with its magnificent glory was
quite successful in drawing the attention of the students towards itself.  The students enjoyed the long journey as
their way through the huge Ghats had given them a chance to see and click
photos of the tiny streams, small waterfalls, certain birds and animals and all
of the scenic beauty.
The beginning was full of excitement and
then started the tiresome climbing.  It
was a difficult task, but the students climbed with courage, bravery in the
company of their friends.  The top, was a
great and awesome experience.  The
students were supposedly   at the seventh
heaven!

The Children and also the staff, spent some
time over the huge mountain in the midst of the drizzling and the cool swings
of wind.  After the beautiful experience,
they turned to come back down.  They all
were forced to look at the notorious behavior of the monkeys, throughout their
way.  They reached down and unwillingly
had to leave the place and bid farewell to the tender, mesmerizing touch of
nature.   The buses were back at about 8
P.M. in the evening and all the students left for their homes with stressed
bodies but minds filled with happiness, freshness and pleasure.
